A Student’s life in Waterford

A Student’s life in Waterford

My name is Venezia,I am 17 years old and I am from Asturias, Spain.

This is my second year here in Waterford, I am studying in the Presentation Secondary School, this year I am going into 5th year. I am really nervous about going into 5th year because it’s really difficult.  I need to take this year seriously because next year I will do the “Leaving Certificate”.

At the same time I am very excited to learn more about the subjects I have chosen, to improve my English and mostly importantly to see my friends. I can’t wait to see them!

I think it is a great experience to study in Ireland because you become independent, make new friends , learn about a different culture and improve your English.

I know this year is going to be difficult and weird for me and everyone who is on an exchange programme because of COVID-19. This doesn’t mean that we will not have fun! I think we will have fun with or without COVID restrictions.

We will make this year special if we support and take care of each other.

The most important thing about a exchange programme is to be confident with yourself.

Thank you for reading,
